Hi I’m Romeo Belihuzi NACE 2 Certified Coating Inspector.
My journey started back in 2005 when I joined TECO COATINGS LLC. on a ship repair and maintenance project in LISABONA PORTUGAL performing mixt blasting and coating, then in Feb 2006 – Sept 2006 I was transferred to DUBAI on an offshore project to perform sandblasting and painting.
In Oct 2006 – March 2007 I was part of the EUROBALKAN EXIM team in MIDIA SHIPYARD ROMANIA sandblasting and painting on ships and barges.
In March 2007 – July 2007 I sign with PRIORITY 1 SANDBLASTING AND COATINGS CANADA on a short contract performing sandblasting and painting Oil Rigs Structural Steel and Refineries equipment.
In Sept 2008 – Aug 2009 I joined DAM ACTIV NAVAL team in MANGALIA ROMANIA performing high-pressure water blasting with in Ships and floating structures for both maintenance and new construction projects performing coatings both in manual and spray application.
In Oct 2009 – July 2010 I was part of PRESTMAR SHIPS CONSTANTA ROMANIA sandblasting and coatings team with in shipbuilding industry performing sandblasting, hydro blasting with in potable water tanks, ballast tanks, storage holds as well as coatings and linings.
In Jan 2011 – June 2011 I joined AQUABLAST INTERNATIONAL, ANTWERPEN BELGIUN / ROTTERDAM AND AMSTERDAM THE NETHERLANDS performing sandblasting and Hydro blasting internal and external of oil tanks in Refineries’ applying lining using plural pumps and rollers.
In Oct 2011 – March 2021 I become part of PRIORITY 1 SANDBLASTING AND COATINGS CANADA leading the paint shop department, training painters into special lining and coatings with in tanks, pipes spools, floors, structural steel, swimming pools. I develop strong knowledge in the quality Control department becoming NACE Certified Coating Inspector.
In April 2021. I founded CALTECO INSPECTION SERVICES performing;
- Third Party Coating Inspection.
- Training in lining and special coatings application.
- Plural pump technician.
- Supervising and surveillance projects.
PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT
- I’m driven to improve my life and knowledge. I will achieve this through hard work taking pride of what I do and putting the interest of others before my own.
